Kaichuan Qi

Welcome. I am Kaichuan Qi (戚铠川), a PhD student in mathematics at Penn State University, advised by Ping Xu and Mathieu Stiénon. Before coming to Penn State, I completed my master’s degree at KU Leuven under the supervision of Marco Zambon, and my bachelor’s degree at CUHK-Shenzhen.

Research

I work in Poisson and symplectic geometry, with interests in Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids. My current research concerns symplectic groupoids, singular foliations, central extensions, and their connections to higher geometry, reduction, and gauge-theoretic ideas. I also work on hyper-Lie Poisson geometry.
